A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF LAW RELATING TO SENIOR CITIZENS IN INDIA

Abstract


Abstract:- Indian society has a long cherished tradition to respect and protect the elders. It is the pious obligation of the siblings to maintain their parents and grandparents. Our seniors are our responsibility. In that main concern on abuse and neglecting old people is terribly considered to be violence against senior citizens. The21st century is designated as “Century of senior person”. There are various reasons to know about the senior citizens and their problems also their condition, physically, socially, economically, and psychologically. The role of Law enforcements is to work for prevention of violence by influencing and implementing various legal factors in order to prevent also in order to look upon the conditions. The existing laws in regardence to senior citizens abuse, and other form of domestic violence’s and their present impact on the society, preventive measures and break down of human values are critically made analysis, discussed in this paper by various secondary sources like reports of institutes and also in consideration of existing law and community services.
